Black licorice, smoke, lead, sweet tobacco, rosemary, currant and dusty barnyard scents on the enticing, savory nose. Scents transition seamlessly with blackberry, black tea and minerals added to the suave, dense, chewy palate. This is fucking good. Finishes long and dry with firm acidity carrying the black fruits, mineral and tea flavors. 55% Cabernet, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. $59.99

2013 Gorman Winery The Devil You Know

This smells of Bordeaux.  Integration and balance.  Leather, earth, blackberry, cassis – sweet herbs and savory spices forming a seamless scent. Luscious power and graceful elegance dance on the palate.  High toned blackberries lead into the dexterous, focused-mineral, dry finish with starbursts of tea and citrus acids carrying it on.  Head-shaking delicious. The first time I’ve tasted this wineries wines and they are profoundly good.  Columbia Valley, Washington. 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 18% Malbec, 6% Petite Verdot & 3% Cab Franc. $34.99
